Sales and Refunds Policy
 

For order status information or other assistance with an order you have already placed with the John Deere Technical Information Bookstore, go to your order history by clicking on Orders.

LIMITED SALES

The John Deere Technical Information Bookstore sells to John Deere Dealers worldwide and consumers in the United States. Product exported to consumers outside of the United States, are sold by a 3rd party. See International Consumer Terms.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Returned products are only accepted if the product shipped is incorrect due to an error by Johndeeretechinfo.com. Unused, physically shipped incorrect products (not downloads or subscriptions) may be returned within 30 Days from date of shipment, for replacement only. We DO NOT accept used materials.

  • No returns on electronic products (downloaded documents, CD / DVD products, and video products).
  • Defective CD / DVD electronic products may be returned for replacement only. Requests for substitution cannot be honored.

NOTE: BEFORE YOU RETURN ANY MATERIAL YOU MUST EMAIL FOR A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER (RAN) AS FOLLOWS:

1. Send an email to returns@johndeeretechinfo.com stating the reason for the return and the order number. Upon verification, a RAN will be emailed to you.
2. Write the RAN on the OUTSIDE of the package. Authorized returns can be shipped UPS Collect.

PAYMENT METHODS

Credit Card
At the time your order is placed, Deere & Company obtains a pre-approval from the credit card company for the amount of the order. Credit card billing occurs when your order ships. The John Deere Technical Information Bookstore accepts Visa and MasterCard only. See Payment in the FAQ area for more information.

NOTE: We are unable to accept debit cards, check cards, cashier's checks or wire transfers.

Credit Card Security Codes
The John Deere Technical Information Bookstore requires the credit card security code for your card for any purchase. The credit card security code is an individual three digit number specific to your credit card that is on the signature panel. Asking for and confirming your credit card's security code helps validate that you - and only you - are in the possession of your credit card and protects you from unauthorized use of your account.

SHIPPING DETAILS

The estimated shipment date for an order does not include transit time. Payment processing will not begin until we receive all the information we need and full authorization. Orders placed on the weekend or on a holiday will not begin payment processing until the next business day.

Same Day Shipping: Orders for same day shipping must be received before 1 pm CST, pending payment processing. Orders placed on the weekend or on a holiday will not begin payment processing until the next business day.

For “Machine Down” situations after 1:00 pm Central Time, call 1-866-213-3373 in the United States, and ask for John Deere Bookstore help to expedite your order. We will do everything possible to support dealers with immediate needs.

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. Federal holidays. Overnight delivery is not available for orders shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.

NOTE: Title and risk of loss to all products will pass to you on delivery.

PRICES

The John Deere Technical Information Bookstore is highly automated and designed for streamlined production to offer you competitive prices on products. Your total order price will include the price of the product (on the day of shipping) plus any applicable sales tax and shipping/handling charges.  Deere & Company reserves the right to change prices for products displayed at the John Deere Technical Information Bookstore at any time without notice.

CURRENCY CONVERTER

Currency Converter used on this site is provided as a courtesy to our users only. The Converter uses up-to-the-moment exchange rate information which may not be exactly the same as what you will be charged and should only be considered as approximate. The John Deere Technical Information Bookstore uses U.S. Dollars (USD) for all transactions.

If you used a credit card for your transaction, please call your credit card provider to determine what exchange rate is applied. If you get invoiced through John Deere, the JD Monthly exchange rate will be applied to determine the final price.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Deere & Company makes every effort to ship your product according to the estimated lead times provided by the John Deere Technical Information Bookstore at checkout.  The estimated lead times are in business days (Monday through Friday) excluding Federal holidays.  All orders will be shipped complete; no partial shipments can be made.

Although every effort is made to ship your order according to the lead time provided, shipping dates may change due to changes in supply. If the lead time changes, Deere & Company will contact you via email and provide a revised shipping estimate.

INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

International Ordering
Consumer orders with shipping destinations outside of the United States are sold by Ken Cook Co.

International Product Restrictions
The following items can be shipped outside of the United States.:

  • CD and DVDs (Region 1)

*Product manuals, instructions and safety warnings may not be in destination country languages; the products (and accompanying materials) may not be designed in accordance with destination country standards, specifications, and labeling requirements; and the products may not conform to destination country voltage and other electrical standards (requiring use of an adapter or converter if appropriate). You are responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from Ken Cook Co., the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.

Payment Method
At the time your order is placed, Ken Cook Co. obtains a pre-approval from the credit card company for the amount of the order. Credit card billing occurs when your order ships. Ken Cook Co. accepts Visa and MasterCard only. All transaction will be in US dollar.

Duties, Taxes, and Brokerage Fees
Shipments to countries outside of the U.S. may be subject to customs duties, taxes and other import fees levied by the destination country.
You authorize Ken Cook Co. to designate a carrier (United Parcel Services) to act as your agent with the relevant customs and tax authorities in the destination country, to clear your merchandise, process and remit your actual Import Fees. The recipient will be required to pay the carrier the total for duties, taxes and brokerage fees prior to taking receipt of the package.
A tool has been provided to calculate the estimated the duties and taxes for your order. Brokerage fees are not included in the estimate and may be added to your duties and tax bill after the carrier has cleared the package.
Ken Cook Co. is not an agent and provides this as a value added service to customers.
To obtain details regarding the duties, taxes, brokerage fees or to obtain documentation in connection with customs clearance, you may contact the carrier specified in your shipment confirmation e-mail.

Insurance
Insurance will be mandatory for any shipment outside of the United States.
The insurance covers the shipment against all risks of physical loss or damage from most external causes.
Coverage begins when the Shipper’s Air Waybill is issued and the shipment is in route. The insurance continues until the shipment has been delivered to the final destination point and the recipient has taken possession.
The Insurance charge will be added to the total shipping charges at the following rate:

US $0.00 – US $100.00: no charge
US $100.01 – US $300.00: US $1.50 minimum
US $300.01 and up: US $0.50 per US $100.00 of value

In the event of damage to a shipment, a complaint must be made with the carrier within 15 calendar days after delivery.
All claims under this section are subject to proof of value.
Loss or damage caused by or resulting from delay, deterioration, loss of market, nuclear reaction, radiation,
Radioactive contamination or improper packaging is not covered under this policy.

Other Terms and Conditions
Orders sold by the Ken Cook Co. are governed by Wisconsin law, without giving effect to its conflict of law provisions.
These terms and conditions are in addition to the standard Sales and refund policy of the John Deere Technical Bookstore website. Title transfers upon delivery to common carrier in the United States.
